We are pleased to announce that John C. Neukam, PMP, has been promoted to Associate of GTA!

With 18 years of experience working for GTA, John Neukam has been promoted to an Associate of GTA’s Abingdon, Maryland office where he is responsible for overseeing GTA’s Construction Observation and Testing (COT) team as they perform services for commercial, residential, industrial, recreational, energy, and infrastructure projects.

John is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and excels at problem identification and resolution as they apply to geotechnical, construction, and environmental issues. While overseeing the day-to-day COT operations, his role at GTA includes mentoring his team members, tracking project outlook and staffing needs, interviewing and hiring of new team members, and maintaining positive relationships with project stakeholders. His responsibilities further include preparing and reviewing client reports, resolving technical issues relating to construction, and assisting his team with coordinating project requirements.

His background includes extensive experience managing COT projects and performing COT services for controlled fill, stormwater management facilities, chemical stabilization, asphalt placement and coring, pervious concrete testing, foundation inspections, cast-in-place concrete, slope stabilization, retaining walls, and other various geotechnical and construction observation activities. Additionally, John oversees a team that provides third party independent environmental monitoring services and weekly and post-storm site inspections associated with sediment and erosion control.
